About VANJA SENIČIĆ:
Vanja (b. 1995) is a Belgrade-based journalist, researcher, and content creator with a strong background in documentary filmmaking and media education.
She holds a BA in Journalism and Media Production, where she focused on contemporary political and media theory, and an MA in Creative Industries, with research centered on the evolving role of print media within the post-digital landscape. During her university years, she began collaborating with NGO IPAK Center (Center for Research of Politics, Identities, and Cultures), where she contributed as a researcher and coordinator on projects promoting media and political literacy among youth.
Vanja began her career at Serbia’s public broadcaster, Radio Belgrade 2, as a field journalist and later as the author of a short documentary radio format. Around the same time, she became involved with a documentary production company, working as a researcher and author on TV documentaries exploring social and anthropological topics—an experience that sparked her passion for documentary storytelling.
Over the past decade, she has contributed to numerous story-driven and investigative documentary projects for international media outlets, including Al Jazeera, TRT, Voice of America, Vice, Berlingske, and Dehaaiën. Her work often focuses on issues relevant to Serbian society, such as housing, inequality, and social change.
Vanja writes across formats—academic, journalistic, SEO, and social media. She has experience as a copywriter and in digital marketing in different roles, freelance and in digital marketing agencies.
She currently works as Head of Digital Communications at Beldocs International Documentary Film Festival, where she also coordinates European audience development projects such as the European Film Challenge. She is also working with Taskovski Films Training in the field of social media and communications.
