At #DocsConnect, we believe in sustainability — in nature and in people. We’re taking mindful, step-by-step actions to lower our impact on the environment while promoting a conscious approach to filmmaking. Here’s how we’re doing it:
Low-impact website
We’re monitoring our website’s performance and working to reduce its digital footprint. It currently scores low on environmental impact indicators that measure energy consumption and carbon emissions.Sustainable mobility
During our labs, we encourage eco-friendly transport like biking and walking whenever possible.Eco-conscious promotional items
We’ve swapped standard merch for thoughtful alternatives — like hand-painted tote bags and notebooks made with seed paper, which you can plant after use.Local, plant-based food
Our on-site meals are vegetarian and locally sourced, prepared by a cook who uses fresh, seasonal ingredients to support both health and sustainability.Workshops on conscious living
We integrate a sustainable mindset into our programs. Last year, Andrea led a session on reconnecting with the Earth and understanding our shared responsibility — in a grounded, practical way.Hybrid format
Our second module takes place online, supporting global accessibility and reducing the environmental cost of travel.Sustainable storytelling
We give special emphasis to films and filmmakers engaging with environmental and social justice themes, helping to spark awareness and inspire change.
We’re continuously exploring ways to improve, one step at a time. Stay connected to follow our sustainability journey.
