We are pleased to announce that This Is Not an Apple has received our #DocsConnect Taskovski Training Award at Movies That Matter.
Directed by Nefise Özkal Lorentzen and produced by Ola K. Hunnes, the project was selected among eight international projects for its powerful storytelling and strong commitment to social impact, with support from the Norwegian Film Institute, DAM Foundation, and the Advisory Board of Psychological Health.
This Is Not an Apple stood out for its clear and actionable impact vision: expanding the Lif Laga model in Norway through prison-based and community initiatives, while scaling internationally to promote inclusion, reduce youth crime, and engage policymakers.
#DocsConnect award provides mentorship and guidance in development, festival strategy, marketing, distribution, and includes an automatic selection for our 2026–2027 Conscious Filmmaking Training.
