Daniela Colamartini

Specialized in Contemporary Art History, Daniela holds a master’s degree in Cultural Events Organization from IED Florence.

Since 2015, she has been part of the programming team of Festival dei Popoli – International Documentary Film Festival, where she served as Head of Programming from 2017 to 2024. Between 2018 and 2022, she collaborated with Middle East Now Film Festival as a programmer, and in 2021 she worked with Tënk.

Her work focuses on documentary cinema, international film programming, and audience development, with particular attention to socially engaged and auteur-driven cinema. In 2024 and 2025, she also worked in the field of independent documentary film distribution in Italy.

In 2020, she co-founded CinematograFica, an international project using cinema as a tool to raise awareness on gender issues and combat gender-based violence.
